Double the speed of research thanks to a new microscope
The speed with which new medicines are developed, is dependent to a large degree on the speed with which research is carried out. That's why this year we are ice skating for a specialised microscope that doubles the speed of the research. The microscope will be located near the existing microscope in the laboratory of the UMC in Utrecht.
An investment of 350,000 euro is needed for that microscope. A hefty amount that will pay for itself by providing a faster breakthrough in the research into medication for everyone with Cystic Fibrosis.
Want to know exactly how it works? We have asked Vincent Gulmans, Head of Research and Quality of Care at the NCFS. Read the entire article here (Dutch only).
